Don't miss my Double Giveaway post for your chance to win!!

Hi, Friends.....

I have another card for the MFP Tutorial Time Challenge - Distress Ink Patterned Background.  Again, I used the excellent tutorial provided with the challenge.

You can check out the first card I posted for this challenge here.  On this card, I used Distress Ink in Walnut Stain on some tan parchment looking sort of paper I've had in my stash for decades a long time.  This time I used my Darice Henna embossing folder and actually ran it through my Big Shot, too.  I am LOVING this embossing folder.  Expect to see it often!!

I won this wonderful Quietfire - Thank You, Rough-Hewn.  (THANKS, Quietfire!!!)  Isn't it perfect for this card???  LOVE it!!  I stamped it with Simon Says Stamp Soft Navy ink and used some of the coordinating cardstock.  (I love you, SSS!!!!)  I also used another one of the sweet Mrs. Grossman's Natural Art embellishments.  So sweet.....and even sweeter since it was on clearance!!  Ha.  Everything was mounted on Core'dinations kraft cardstock.

Hope you like my card!!!  Be sure to check out my DOUBLE GIVEAWAY post!!!

  1. Oh my gosh...this is so awesome Janis! I hadn't seen the tutorial yet, but I'm guessing it involves Distress Ink added to an embossed background?? I have this embossing folder too but wow does it look different with the colors you used and that Walnut Distress ink. Your background appears similar to a swatch of vintage handmade lace and that stamped sentiment and rustic bouquet are all just perfect. Love how the navy ink echoes the blue in the bouquet and the mat you used! I'm going to have to check out this technique because it looks like something I'll have to try some time.
